SRD Failing to load

I have a PCIe OCZ Revo 2 boot drive which uses the SI 3134 chipset. I run Win7 ultimate 64 bit and have several USB3 external drives which I use to make Ghost 15 images of the Revo C: drive. From Win7 I can access these images and recover files with G15 with no problems. For the last year I made a custom Recovery disk with 32 bit drivers for the Revo/SI 3124 chipset and all worked well with the usb3 drives running in USB2 mode. In the last test of the SRD it failed to load hanging at the double gray screen for 2 hrs and then blue screening. I checked for updates to the SI chipset drivers but had the most recent drivers (they haven't changed in 1.5 years). I then went back to the Norton Ghost 15 disk and made several more attempts to create a new SRD that would work. During this process I did note that the Norton SRD Disk wizard thought that the Revo used an SI 3132 chip (this is incorrect) but just to play along I tried those drivers too-------Similar problem. Other than software updates little has changed on this computer. Hardware has also remained steady other than external devices coming and going. Anyone have anything else I can try? Interestingly I also use Acronis backup software which recognizes USB3 drives and continues to work fine..
