SRTSP64.SYS huge CPU usage

I noticed a lot of people have problem with CPU spikes with "SYSTEM" process. I'm having this problem too, but different than I expected, the problem is not on Windows, but with NIS 2012. Some time ago I noticed that problem, then I downloaded Process Explorer and I discovered that the Thread ID "216" Start Adress "SRTSP64.sys" is the cause of all my problem. Some research in "System32" and web, discovered that "SRTSP64.sys" is NIS Auto-protect driver. Then I disabled Auto-protect, and cpu usage was normal again.... until started all over again. Disk and memory usage is fine, problem is only with CPU usage, but really, for me that have a dual-core, 50% cpu usage REALLY makes a lot difference. I just cant keep using my pc because my AV use 50% of it constantly.

That didn't help me.. A lot of people have this same problem and no one knows how to fix it... Really, I just cant keep using my PC like that, it's 50% of the CPU used constantly by NIS. I was about to buy N360 5.0, but I think not gonna do that anymore, not gonna make the same mistake...
This is a PM from another user that have the same problem:
"Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any permanent solution. All I can suggest is that you do what I do. I right click on the Norton Internet Security notification icon and select Disable Anti-virus protection. Then, I select 15 minutes followed by selecting OK. The excessive disk access then stops. Then I wait for about 10 seconds and enable the anti-virus protection again."
Probably he bought NIS 2012 and now have to deal with this everyday: Norton goes crazy and then you have to disable it. What a shame, a AV that have to be disabled to work properly??
Other topics I found were just abandoned... It's like Symantec just dont give a f*** to whats happening...
If I cant get support on Norton Community, where I'm gonna ask for help then??

Same here. I'm using NIS 2012 and every now and then I can see CCSVCHST.EXE hogging the CPU (making it spike to 80-90ÂșC!!!). This happens on a i7 mobile. My Core 2 Duo desktop doesn't seem to be affected.
