I am buying a laptop containing Win 8 and plan to install Norton 360 on it. The laptop has SSD only and I have read that the Norton 360 uses windows defragmentation, and if true should use the Win 8 defrag which senses the SSD's and instead trims it instead of defrag. But, I have also read of the 360 overriding the Win defrag and carrying out defrag on the SSD's (might be win 7).
Thus, do I have to disable the defrag and idle optimization in Norton settings and or does the 360 use win 8 defrag and will instead only trim the SSD during the scheduled defrag and idle optimization.
