I did not have a Norton toolbar in outlook 2007 when I had Norton 2009 installed and I was told it was fixed in the 2010 version. I have very happy when 2010 came out, but sad to say still no toolbar.
When I go to Client Intergration Outlook 2007 is greyey out and Outlook Express is checked. I do not have Outlook Express installed on this machine. I tried unchecking everything and rebooting and it still will not let me select Outlook 2007.
Any ideas how to fix this problem.

Welcome to the Norton Community
When you installed Norton 2010 did you just upgrade 2009 or did you do a clean install? If you just upgraded then the issue you had with 2009 was probably just carried on and you should uninstall Norton by doing an uninstall from add/remove programs and then run the Norton Removal Tool, (only if you do not have any other Norton products on your system) , reboot and then reinstall 2010.
I too do not have the toolbar in Outlook 2007 after installing NIS 2010.
When I was using NIS 2009 I did have the Norton Toolbar. Now that I have upgraded ... no toolbar.
I first used the NRT to uninstall all Norton programs, rebooted, then ran the NIS 2010 installer. No toolbar.
I then used NRT to uninstall Norton again, rebooted, then ran the NIS 2010 installer. Still no toolbar in Outlook 2007.
My system is a Lenovo T61p Laptop running Windows XP Pro SP2.
One other thing … when I go to the “Client Integration” screen … my Outlook options are available and have check marks in them. All boxes are checked.
I found the answer ... in Outlook I had to enable the Norton toolbar in "Trust Center". Click Tools ... Trust Center. Click the "Add-ins" link. At the bottom of the screen select "COM Add-ins" from the Manage dropdown list and click Go. Place a check mark next to the Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plug-in option and click OK.
Here is the reason why an Outlook add-in may be disabled by Outlook:
1) Outlook crashed during the call to the plugin.
2) User agreed to disable the plugin in the prompt Outlook shows when it is launched the next time after the crash.
Disabled Outlook plugin stays disabled until it is manually enabled by user. Outlook will never even try to load a disabled plugin.
Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plugin has kept its name ("Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plugin") since it was introduced in Norton AntiSpam in 2003. If it was disabled, it stays disabled even after new version of Norton Internet Security is installed.
As I understand, in cases mentioned here Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plugin from one of the previous versions of Norton Internet Security had been disabled. That is why new version of Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plugin has not been loaded by Outlook.
As people have already mentioned it in this thread, in Outlook 2007 the Trust Center should be used to enable disabled plugin:
1) Open the Outlook Trust Center from the menu (Tools | Trust Center...).
2) Click on the "Add-ins" tab. You will see lists of Active Application Add-ins, Inactive Application Add-ins and Disabled Application Add-ins.
3) In the combo-box on the bottom select "Disabled Items" and click "Go...".
4) Enable Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plugin from there.
