I've suddenly started getting dozens and dozens of posting notifications.
Any suggestions, please, about how to stop them?

I would go into your actual Norton account and change your settings there for "Email Preferences". Those aren't forums related but rather marketing.

Unless I'm being stupid, that's how I've got it set up. I've already received 11 notifications, today... just general ones that I haven't even read.
In your account/profile here on the forums, open it. Next. Click the "large edit" radio button. Scroll down to the area labeled "Notifications", uncheck the box there if you DO NOT want to be notified of postings in thread you are active in or following. Scroll further down to the area labeled " private messages", uncheck the boxes there if you wish not to be notified of those. Scroll to the bottom and click save.
