My kid downloaded a game from Steam, and it loaded this thing called Stormwatch. Norton could not remove it; Windows could not remove it; Task Manager could not end the process. (It said as an Admin on my own machine, I did not have "rights.")
I tried the Uninstall file in the Stormwatch directory. It removed everything except the EXE and SRV files. It still ran.
I had to start in Safe Mode with no networking, delete the directory, and restart. Then, I had to run Registry cleanup to get rid of it from the Startup files.
NASTY.
