For what it's worth, I clicked on Log-in just now and got this error message:
I checked and found that I had been logged in. I clicked on Home and went on from there.

Thanks but that wasn't the case with my problem. I switched on PC, went to IE11 Favourites, clicked on Norton Community, got the Log-in page, was populated by Norton Safe>vault, hit Log-in and bingo!
Usually, "Page not found" = (webpage) 404 error.
A 404 page is what a user sees when they try to reach a non-existent page on your site (because they've clicked on a broken link, the page has been deleted, or they've mistyped a URL...
Thanks both. It happened when I powered up my PC i.e. it was my first visit of the day here.
I'm glad it's a known problem.
Hi Taffy_078:
This is a known issue and the error appears if users log in (or log out) when they're viewing longer threads with multiple pages. See LinYu2's May 2016 thread Norton Community Login issue in the Forum Feedback board. No one from Symantec has responded to tell us if or when the problem will ever be fixed.
If you were trying to get to a specific message from a link you already had then you can get that error message if the said message has been moved or deleted by one of the Norton Moderators for some reason.
Is that what might have happened?
