Strange network problems with NIS and Vista

Hello everybody

I have just installed NIS 2009 (latest version 16.5.0.134) on my Windows Vista notebook. It's a Windows Vista Business with Service Pack 1 and all the updates from Windows Update installed.

After the installation, everything seems to work ok. No network access problems. After verifying that all is working, I start LiveUpdate and it's download around 25 MB and installs the updates. The LiveUpdate Tool wants to restart.

After the restart, the problems start. My notebook is a member of a domain and we have a KiXtart logon script, which is completely blocked by NIS 2009. The DOS prompt appears, but the script is not starting. I cannot even kill the kix32.exe process.

Also, I'm completely unable to access for example the DFS share of my domain or any other network share. The complete notebook seems to hang. I cannot even shut it down. If I start my notebook without plugged the network cable in, everything works fine.

As soon as I completely uninstall NIS, everything is working fine again. Only disabling the NIS firewall or antivirus services does not help solving the problem. Only a complete uninstall.

There is no other antivirus software or firewall installed.

Does anyone have an idea, what the problem might be?

Thanks for any help.
