Might a Norton staffer comment on these when there is time?

Does anyone else have this same issue?

It is un-likely that this is a typo. from Norton and there could be a Virus on your computer that has triggered this.

Could one of the Norton Staff please confirm this.

The first thing I’d ask if you have changed your system date since installing the product, or if it is currently set to the correct date/time. Also, which Norton product and version is installed, and which operating system are you running? Thanks!

No I have not changed my system date since install and my comp is set to the correct date and time. I’m using NAV2008 version 15.0.0.8 on a Windows Vista Home Premium. All my defs are up to date and my scans don’t detect anything. Shoudl I send a copy of that file? The file does have the correct digital signature

should I submit a copy of the file?

Tony or other Norton staffers, shoudl I submit this file?

Absolutely. We're always anxious to get the latest information: Malware Submission Website

Thanks!

any chance maybe someone from Norton can look at this issue?

On Windows-XP, right-click on the file and select properties. Next, select the digital signatures tab. Lastly, click on the Details button. On the General tab, right below "Digital Signature Information" should be a message saying that the signature is OK. You should also confirm that the Signer Information says Symantec. You can then perform a View Certificate and Verify that the Issued By indicates that it is a VeriSign Class 3 certificate.

If all of that checks out, you're good. The timestamp that is on the file isn't all that important. Was this the creation time or the modification time?

Thanks all. I submitted the file for review. Nothing negative noted. Also had a Norton staffer give feed nack, theanks Reese. This , like so many other worries I have, appears to not be an issue. Thanks all
