To get the details basic details, I am running Windows Vista on a laptop. I have Norton the latest version of Norton that was installed 2 months ago. It is updated constantly and my computer is in good shape and maintained more than most. Here is the issue as I see it....
#1. I had a "excessive relay" error that started about 2 months ago on my hosting account. Godaddy allows only 250 relays a day to catch these issues, which I apparently have. I changed my password on this email account and made it where I had to type it in each time. Since I have done that, I haven't "seen" an issue until the other night.
When I typed up an email, ONE/SINGLE/UNO email, to send out and I had typed my password in, I just happened to be watching the transfer and Windows mail said I was sending 85 emails. I stopped it immediately. The I deleted the email, retyped a simple test email to myself (that I could check on my iphone) and watched it send out 27 additional emails. Checked my phone and saw I received 28 emails from myself. Weird, but something is going on.
#2. Norton is updated for the third time and NOTHING is found on 3 separate scans.
#3. Tonight, I logged into my computer (which I used at work briefly earlier today and no issues and the email was NOT used there) and the icons in my left hand tray are not correct. i.e. Windows Mail is Adobe, Calculator is NotePad, Switch between Windows is a Zip Folder Icon, ect... WTF???
#4. Everything else for the most part is normal except for the occasional overuse memory notice Norton throws in from time to time. The only thing is, the only thing I have open is Google or a note pad document writting a little code. Nothing that would cause this.
I know something or possession is taking place and I haven't been able to track it down. For God's sake does someone have a clue what retarded demon has taken over this computer or a fix on the Norton website??
