I recently rebuilt my laptop which I usually do once a year - wipe the drives, reinstall the OS and programs, etc and replace any drives or other parts that I want. So I don't use Ghost to reapply any images unless it's my data drive. I have 2 Samsung pro SSDs - 256 gb, one my C:/ for Win 7 and a few programs and a D:\ for programs and data. My massive picture collection goes on an external drive.
So I have my laptop rebuilt like I want and everything is working fine, except Ghost. I'm wanting to make an image of the clean install of my OS and programs. When I open Ghost it shows my two drives C:/ & D:/ Only one partition on each drive. However, when I plug a USB external drive to store the image on, open Ghost and start to make my settings and choose my partitions to include in the image the C:\ drive is no longer there to select. Only my D:\ and the USB drive that I've plugged in show up in the dialogue box where you choose what you want to include in the backup. Checking or unchecking the hidden files/partitions makes no difference. My C:\ just isn't showing up. I've tried several USB external drives, still the same problem. Unplug the usb drives, open Ghost again and my C & D drives are both listed.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled ghost, nothing seems to resolve the problem. Anyone ever had this problem and know what to do about it? Very strange.
Thanks,
David
