My Norton Internet Security 2011 recently notified me it had detected and removed a Trojan malscript!html with the type
dog[1].htm, I'm afraid being a nervy computer user I went into panic mode especially when I found it hadn't been deleted but placed in quarantine. I then submitted the file to Symantec using the option in Quarantine before removing it from quarantine history.I now have time for a more calmer reaction and have a few questions:
- Has removing the file from quarantine history completely eliminated it from my computer or merely stopped it telling me its there?
- What happens now to the submission I made to Symantec, can I expect feedback from them about the nature of the threat etc. or is it just used to develop future responses.
- What level of personal information is Symantec able to collect about me from my submission.
- Does anyone know exactly what dog[1].htm does on my computer
