Hi
I have a few issues and I am not sure the best way to tackle them.
My current year subscriptions end in Feb 09 and I have found it £19 cheaper to buy the 2009 version of NIS than renew my current 2008 version. Normally I have found a good deal online but not this time (I have just been made redundant so I need to save anything I can find!!!)
I am using a Windows XP SP3 Pentium 4HT PC. I recently updated the software when a new version became available which has left the "Guest" account unusable as Norton isn't functioning on it and it doesn't allow any emails through or connection to the internet. NIS2008 just shows as everything in RED but both administrator accounts are fine. For this reason I am thinking that purchasing a new copy at half the price of a new year's subscription could be better but I need to know the following:
1 Do I just un-install the current software with add/remove programs and install the new version?
2 I have endless "one-click logins" stored in it so will these be lost or can they be saved?
3 Will it rectify the guest account?
Any help would be greatly appreciated and also if you can let me what a 1 user 1 pc means. Does this mean only 1 account on 1 pc as the only other version I have seen is a 1 user 3 pc which I am not bothered about as we only have the 1 desktop.
Many thanks
