Subscription downgrade

I have Norton 360 with Life Lock and 10 licenses.  I now only need 5 licenses.  After spending about a half hour online looking and 20 minutes on the phone with 4 different people the last one told me I can't do that without letting my current subscription expire then buying a new 5 license subscription.  I would then have to renter all my information.  That isn't happening.  My response is I MAY renew my Norton 360 but I am not leaping through the hoops necessary for Life Lock.  Anybody find a workaround?

The information the agent provided is the best route to take. After 60 days, there is no refund available for a subscription, so you might as well let that expire and then start the new subscription.

To do this, log into your Norton Account and be sure you turn off Automatic Renewal for your current subscription so it does not get renewed. Then you can shop around for the 5 device subscription to get the best price. If you purchase directly from Norton, the subscription starts when payment is made. If you purchase from a reputable retailer, you can save the product key until your current subscription expires. At the expiry date, you can open the classic Norton 360 interface and click on Help > Enter Product key at the bottom right. Enter the new key to activate the new subscription. You may have to do this on all devices.
