I have been using Norton Internet Security for Mac since March 29, 2010 by upgrading from Norton AntiVirus 11. So after installation, Subscription Expiry Date show March 30, 2011 as expiry date on Statistics page of NAV main screen.
Starting a couple of day ago, Subscription Expiry Date read "Unknown" but Liveupdate still work fine to update definition and software. To solve this annoying problem, I have tried uninstall NIS 4 using unisnatll script from Norton, remove Symantec.keychain, reinstall. The problem is not solved. Still, the subscription expiry date read "Unknown:
So I started two chat sessions with Tech support, they remote into my Mac, do uninstall and reinstall several time. The problem never been solved. And they escalate my case to research team, saying that reseach eam from Symantec from USA will call me (Case ID# 499440272), SO far, I never receive any call.
So the problem is with me. Can any friend and expert here suggest way and method to get this problem solved, step by step, so I can take care of myself. Tech support is hopeless.
I have been loyal Norton and Symantec customer for over 10 years, and tech support is so inconvenience in this case. Cannot solve problem after so many hours online, and hopelessly wait for call that never come, or may come at very inconvenience time like midnight Bangkok time where I should go to bed.
Can Norton be more customer centric, by fixing call time in Bangkok time xone, make it daytime in Bangkok, where I will be in office with fast Internet connection. Seems noone can help me, This is bad experience.
If Symantec support want to get to me, get my email from the support case above.
