Hi dickevans.

I already tried this. The problem is that I could not find on the manual any code that seems like a subscription code. There is the product key but it does not fit on the spaces to type a new subscription code.

Regards,

Rinaldo

Hi!

I had NIS 2007 installed on my machine and during my subscription I updated to the NIS 2008 version, through Live Update. Now I bought a NIS 2008 box on a resseller but can't find how to update my subscription. What I need to do? Do I have to installl my new media over the installed product?

Regards,

Rinaldo

If you have the proper activation code (not on the manual,on the back of CD sleeve) it should be 25 units long.

Hi rferj,

I experieced the same situation.

Click on the upper right corner of the main NIS - window - "Help&support".

A new window will open and one of the options is "activation"

I used that one - and it worked for me.

This will most probably work for you as well.

As Kurt says -- I think there is a difference between a Subscription Code and the KEY for activation of a new installation. They work in different ways in different parts of the system.

It's not clear to me about you having renewed your subscription and having bought a copy from a reseller -- that seems duplication. Or has the Subscription run out?

Can you clarify this .... and then the Norton staff will be back in action too <s>

That's correct.

Try the solution from Kurt. That might work

Hi Kurt!

That worked, thanks!

Hi rferj,

Great to read everything is back on track again.

Thanks!

When you open NIS in the lower left hand corner of the pane should be the word "subscription"

Click on it and another pane should open which will give you the option to update your subscription

Hope this helps
