Subscription expired. Is there a way to recover the old backup?

My problem is that my Norton 360 subscription has expired and now I'm told by Symantec that there is absolutely no way to recover a backup made once the subscription has expired. Even with a new Norton 360. So to all those out there who think you can restore once a subscription has lasped, your wrong and I am out thousands of dollars because I can't restore a backup made with Norton 360. Funny how the product brochure failed to mention that fact!!

Hi Gerry,

The files will be stored in Online Storage only for 30 days after the date of expiration of your subscription. If you are still within this 30 days period, you can try the steps mentioned by PapauZ to restore the files. You have to use the same email address and password of your Norton Account to get into your backup sets in Norton Online Backup.

If you made your backup to a seperate local drive (not the online storage mentioned in the other posts) then search for a file in the backup directory named ARestore.exe .  Running this program will let you restore the files although it will be one at a time; but at least you can get your files.
