I had bought Norton Mobile Security for my phone with a two year subscription about a month ago. When I recently upgraded the app to version 3.0 it said my subscription had only one year remaining. I tried unistalling and reinstalling but it didn't work. As well as this on the Norton Account site it says that it expires on October 2013 when it should say October 2014. How do I solve this problem?
About two months ago I bought and installed NIS2009 3PC version and installed it on three PCs on the same day.
On the PC that I installed first and used to register and activate the NIS2009 and on one of the other two PCs it tells me that I have only 281 days remaining. On the third PC it tells me, correctly, that I have 309 days remaining.
Does anyone have any idea why this has happened? I really do not want to lose so many days from the true usage allowance.
Hi John_Louis,
NIS2009 3PC version product when activated on 3 machines should provide you the same number of days on all 3 machines. You can follow the steps below and verify the number of days remaining on all 3 PC's.
1. Stay connected to internet
2. Open NIS from Desktop icon or System tray
3. Click on Help and Support and select Subscription Status
The reason why you could see a discrepancy may be because of incorrect system date. Please check your system date if its set correctly. Let us know if you need further clarification.
Thanks
Daran

Thanks will this also update the expiry date on the Norton Account site?
Hi greg17
I beleive it will automatically show in both the NMS 3.0 product
and on the portal as well.
When the lost days show in your NMS product subscription check
your Norton Account and the NMS website to make sure everything
is ok and that all days remaining are the same and correct.
keep us posted.
Cheers.
ok will do thanks again!

I've had to install / reinstall at least twice - because of what was eventually diagnosed as a hardware defect. Dell replaced the hardware, so I went to reinstall again. My subscription says I only have 1 install left. I've only ever had it installed on this desktop, and was planning to also install it on my laptop. I "should" have two installs left - one of which will be my laptop - with one exrtra left over. Did thisproblem and it's reinstalls screw me out of an activation? I really don't want to buy this again.

Welcome John.
You have three activations for your subscription, just like you purchased. If you will go to your MyNortonAccount. com and put the other one in the trash can you will then be able to install the two as you wish. If you need help with this please contact customer support
and they can help you.
Keep us posted
I went into My Norton Account to check the activations, as you said - but there are no products listed there - not even the Norton Utilities I bought this evening. (Norton Utilities does show under the orders tab) Nothing regarding NIS though?
--> think I found the problem, two norton accounts. Am online with chat to combine them. Will advise you then! Thanks!
