Subscription status discrepancy

Hi, I’m just returning to Norton after 5 years with Kaspersky -- although used to be a great fan of Peter Norton back in DOS days.

Anyway, I purchased NIS2013 (3-user) from a third-party reseller (Snaggstuff.com) on 12/07/13.  I received an email from the reseller containing my product key.  I installed it on my laptop on 12/14 and received an email from Norton confirming successful registration and my serial number.  But I never thought to check my Norton account page.

Yesterday I did my annual clean install of OS, executables, and data on my desktop.  I installed NIS on that machine and, as I was doing so, saw something about a “30-day trial” – which I had apparently missed seeing on the laptop installation.

So I checked my Norton account and found that BOTH installs were trials, the laptop one having already expired with the “download” button dithered out, and the desktop one still in trial status with “download” button active.  And interestingly, clicking on the laptop trial item (the first one installed) it shows the serial number that I received from Norton and the product key that I received from the reseller.  However, clicking on the desktop item in my account shows a different serial number and product key, although they probably should be identical (the purchase was for the 3-user product).

Now here’s the WEIRD thing – when launching the program on BOTH machines the Subscription Status at the bottom shows “289 days remaining” and NIS is functional on both machines, doing daily updates and scans.

Can anyone here tell me my actual subscription status, given the above information?  I’m sorry to bother the forum with this problem (which is not a technical one) but I can’t figure out how to use Norton Customer Support.  No email address that I can find for them.

Thanks in advance for any help that might be offered.
