In December I checked my Subscription and read the notice that if I renewed my subscription the outstanding number of days ( 60 ) would be added to the 365 of the renewed subscription. As it was Xmas my wife bought me a new subscription ( 3 users ) license on a CD from PC store. I loaded this new key code to my PC and was advised that I had 365 days outstanding. SO what happened to the other 60 days?????
I have lost those 60 days and will for ever get reminders before Christmas that I need renew my subscription. Any ideas?
Unfortunately, when you renew your Norton product with a new product key, the days from the previous subscription are not added to the new subscription. However, you can contact Symantec Customer Support at the link below (you can chat with them for free) and ask them if it is possible to add the lost days back to your current subscription, especially since you didn't know about this policy:
Thank you for the advise and link. I have tried this and told to download SymADataWeb.msi which I did and then got an error mesage to say that it could not delete the existing version. So I have logged this on the email service and see if they can resolve this problem first before I can get to CHAT with someone. Thank you again for your advise

You were given wrong advice by the chat service. Please give them another try and hope to get a different technician this time.
Also please follow the following advice for talking to people whose English is not quite like ours:
1. Don't over-explain. No one wants to know about why you did it or how it happened or Christmas or anything.
2. Give the simple circumstances:
a. You had a subscription with 60 days on it. They can confirm this themselves by checking your account.
b. You bought a new subscription intending to add it to the old one. Instead it replaced it and you lost the sixty days.
3. When they tell you it's your fault, agree with them -- don't argue. Ask they if they can help you anyway.
Do note the following caveat. If your original subscription was for one license, they probably won't do it. You would be gaining three licenses each with 425 days to replace one license with 425 days. They might perceive this as an attempt to rip them off. You could offer to have them negate the other two licenses. Or they might be generous and give you the bonus time just to keep you a happy customer.
Good luck, and please let us know how it worked out.
