I’m not sure but why not wait a couple of days . Just to be sure?
It should add the remaining days on to the new subscription. It probably won't even give you a new key if you just renew it.
Hi McStick,
Just so happens that there is an excellent discussion on this very subject courtesy of Tony Weiss .
You might want to hold off doing anything (especially with your keys) until you check it out.
I think Tony's advice will solve the issue for you :)
Cheers.

I have 52 days left on my NIS 2008 subscription. If I activate my new 3 user lecense now, will I have 365 days left or will I have 365+52 (417)? Will all 3 computers that I add it to have the same number of days left?
See the link in mcmullet's message. Basicly it depends on whether you purchase a subscription renewal or buy a retail package if I understand what Tony W said -- and note that he modified the reply along the way.
Note that with the 3 user versions the three installations all expire on the anniversary of the date of the first installation from that package -- you do not get 3 x 1 years unless you install all on the same date.
Thanx Guys
I'm learning
Hi McStick,
It depends on what you bought:
A) If you purchased an Upgrade or a Full Product, then once you install, the previous subscription time will be reset to the new install date, and this will start your new subscription period. If you're not sure what you purchased, it's more likely that this option is what will occur.
B) If you purchased a renewal of subscription ONLY, then your current remaining subscription period will be added to the new purchased period.
I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have any other questions about subscription. Thanks!
Many thanks for all the replies - I’ve bought the box with the CD inside for 3 computers. So if I understand this right, if I activated my new product now, I would lose the remaining subscription? So it’d be better to wait until there’s only a day or so left before I activated it?
McStick, you are correct. Just make sure to do it before the subscription actually expires. It shouldn’t matter, but there is a known issue with doing this on Norton 360 after the subscription has expired that shouldn’t apply to you but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Sorry, missed that, thought you were just renewing, in which case you would not lose the days.
