Hello

If you are using IE 9, please use the compatability mode so we can see your post. It is the little box that looks like a piece of paper on top  Thanks.

Thank

Just as a heads up I uninstalled the trial that was preinstalled and reinstalled and it took the key fine now....

Hi miche,

You will have to contact Symantec Customer Service at the link below (for US and Canada); you can use the chat feature for free:
http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/contact/contact.jsp?pvid=cs

If you are outside the US/Canada, then you can choose your country from this list:

http://us.norton.com/support/globalmaps/global_links.jsp?mod=cs

The support agent should be able to help you quite quickly. In addition, I think you're the second or third person who has received this notification - I'm wondering if there is a server glitch somewhere:

http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Activation-code-problem/m-p/489058/message-uid/489058/highlight/true#U489058

Please tell us if your problem was solved.

I find a Support Article on this:

Message: "Revoked Product Key: Your product key has been cancelled and is no longer valid"

I note that if you click on the link in that for when you think it should not have happened it just takes you to the page we give to contact Customer Support ..... without the advice to scroll down to see the CHAT button .... <s>

Yes -- OnLine Customer Support will sort it out quickly and painlessly if you use the CHAT route as below from everything other users say.

To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there. You may have to scroll down a little to see the CHAT button.

You can choose CHAT or Email; email or phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.

Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.

Please let us know how you get on ....

Hi,

Can you please explain it little more brief on what the shopkeeper told?

We need to first understand your issue on a proper note before giving solution.

Regards,

Prasanna.

Hi,

Got your issue now.

Yes you can transfer the license of your old laptop to the new one by contact our customer care.

They would help you in transferring the license from the old laptop and yes, for that we would need the serial number of your old laptop.

Regards,

Prasanna.

Hi,

If you have already used your third subscription in your new laptop, you wont be use the key on any other machine by giving us the serial number of faulty laptop. But instead if you have another system and you want our product to be installed there, you can now contact your customer support team and they would help you in restoring the subscription to the new system from the old.

You can reach our customer support team through the link:

http://www.symantec.com/support/

Hope this is clear.

Regards,

Prasanna.

Hello mox and welcome to the Community.  If you would use this link to the On-Line Chat service, (I think this is still just the U.S./Canada chat line but they should be able to give you the address of others if you need them) just let them know what happened and they should be able to help you.  So far, I've read that the On-Line chat service is a lot quicker then using the telephone or email.  If you would, would you come back and let others know about your results using the On-Line Chat Service?

Hi,

Please keep us posted over the thread so that we can suggest you some other work arounds.

If you find the solution posted already in the thread solved your issue, please mark solved against the particular post so that it would help others who land in this forum with the same issue

Regards,

Prasanna

mox,

Most new computers come with a trial installation of security software of one brand or another -- often but not always Norton!

Could you please tell us what was installed on your new laptop (the replacement) when you got it and how you removed it before installing Norton? Likewise for your hubbies computer ....

There is a specific Forum for so Norton 360 so I'll ask for your message to be moved over there for better exposure. You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.

You can buy versions with only 1 PC covered or 3 PCs covered. It depends on where you bought your copy and how much you paid.

If I bought a product that was one user 3 installs. Do I have to use it on the same computer or can I install it once on my desktop and once on my laptop?

Welcome,

If you have purchased a 3PC subscription you can install the program on three separate computers. You will be allowed to reinstall the program on those same computers in the event of a failure or other problem.

Please continue to frequent the Community. There's lots to learn and you can also have fun.

We'll be  here when you need us. Til then

Stay well and surf safe

Hi skotsbox,

Also be aware that the subscription year begins for all three activations when the product is first activated.  You can install the product on three machines during the year, but all the activations will expire one year from the date of the first activation.
