I was chatting with a Norton representative. I had 3 suggestions for Mobile Security and I was told to put them here.
1) I feel that I should be able to send an SMS command though Outlook (my email program) since I can already send text messages to my phone that way. I have Norton on my PC, so why not an add-on or something?
2) I don't like that there is no way to disable the "WIPE" command. With all of the hacking going on, some hacker might be able to have some fun and "WIPE" out a bunch of phones if they got your passcode or had something to guess different passcodes. I feel that there should be some kind of setting to turn this on or off.
3) I have to leave my GPS on all of the time in order to use Norton's location services. I don't like to leave my GPS on when it is not needed. On top of that, I have to use the third party GPS setting to use the location service. My phone has 3 GPS access settings, one for third parties, one for Verizon and trusted parties, and one for Google. I think that a nice security feature would be a notice that an app is accessing the GPS.
