I have Norton Security Suite via Comcast. Any attempt to access Support via the Support Menu generates a text document that automatically opens in Open Office (I don't have Microsoft Word). Basically, there is no support through the program. The only support I can find is by coming online and searching the community forums.
I have Libre Office rather than MS Office, but the same thing happens.
Hi mb,
Please tell us where or how you are trying to access Support? Are you talking about the Support option on the main page of Norton Security Suite? I can click on Support and select any option listed on the dropdown and never end up in Open Office/Microsoft Word.
Perhaps I am missing something or not following what you are saying or where you are talking about. Can you clarify so we can try to assist you?
I happens because you have your text editor set as the default file association for .html and .htm files.
Unless you have a very good reason to use word/open office for these file types you should remove those associations.
If you do happen to be editing or making webpages, I think you will find that notepad is better beause it does not add all the "junk" that Office uses.

DavidH,
Thanks for your reply. It simply never occurred to me that .html files would have gotten associated with Open Office. I have no idea how that happened, but your solution worked. Thanks again.
