Norton Family does not support anymore Windows Domain accounts.
Detailed description:
For a while, there was a guidance provided by Norton to create users with exactly the same name as the domain user accounts and automatically the windows domain accounts were monitored.
The guidance has disappeared silently from the website and now the local Windows accounts are monitored but the domain Windows accounts are not anymore monitored.
I have set up a small Windows domain based on a Synology so that I have their profile and data centrally stored and backed up irrespective of the computer being used. I don’t think this should be a problem for a tool deeply embedded in Windows to monitor Windows domain account. And a minimum would be to have a full disclosure of the limitation. There is also now a guidance explaining that in Windows 11, you cannot monitor Microsoft accounts. Interestingly, how do you do when you have a Microsoft Office family license ???
I am not going to renew my Norton Family license.
