Update to North 360 Premier 2015 version. Following the reboot I get a bunch of File Insight flags for .msi uninstallation files. Files I've had on my PC for a while without incident, and without Norton flagging them (until after this update). I submitted them all for review under Submission Numbers 3819649, 50, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56.
I get the reply the next day:
"Upon further analysis and investigation we have verified your submission and, as such, the detection(s) for the following file(s) will be removed from our products
Please note that whitelisting can take up to 24 hours to take effect."
Here we are, a week later and they're still being flagged every day, despite repeated forced updates and rebooting.
So I resubmitted them on 7/13 (3821385, 88, 92, 93, 97, 98, 99). Got the response:
"We have been unable to reproduce the detection issue described in your submission. Our investigation shows that the software you submitted is known-good and as such does not trigger any detections."
Well if they were added to the whitelist why is Norton 360 still flagging them? If I could reply to the emails I would, but they're all from a No Reply email address :s
