Running Norton Antivirus 2010 . I work with malware and during a manual full scan , Norton detected a file as "Suspicious.Cloud"
I read this http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2009-090107-2618-99 but it is not enough information for me , unfoturnately. As far as I know Norton 2010 's File/Download Insight is not exactly cloud , it works just for files downloaded through IE and Firefox . It doesn't work for on-demand full scan . Am I right ?
If so , then how did Norton detect a file with detection from the cloud .
I would like to congratulate all Symantec employees for their excellent work. As I wrote above , I work a lot with malware and Norton is great at detection . Pretty much everything is detected . SONAR2 is a big improvement , it seems ! Additionally , what is missed is added pretty fast asfer initial submission .
One more quiestion ... When I submit samples through https://submit.symantec.com/websubmit/retail.cgi , I get a #track number :) It says I can check the status of my submission . Where ?
