Hello everybody!
Here's my problem: I was about to install new game on my computer (license alright) when Norton Internet Security 2009 (version 16.5.0.135 right now) warned me that autorun executable has this "Suspicious.MH690.A" threat. I do not argue with that, it's possible - so I started setup manually, installed a game, applyed latest official patch that removes disk check protection and put that disk away.
BUT! Since then NIS'09 keeps bothering me about unresolved security issue! This is the first thing NIS'09 reports me about when I turn on my computer.
I'd like to point this out: file under question no longer exists in the system, it's not available! So, naturally, unexistent file could not be a threat, is it?
There are two disappointing things about all this situation:
1. minor: NIS'09 levels threat as "High", but when I specify this on Symantec site it's "Very low" all of a sudden!!
2. major: I love Norton Internet Security, it's smart and simple, but why it become so stupid and stubborn when it comes to DVD disk is beyond me! Why try to delete file that written on read-only media? Why report of a problem that no longer exist??
For obvious reasons I can't exclude file "autoexec.exe" on DVD-drive from scan options, please do not suggest me to do that.
I'm really looking forward to see Symantec products to improve...
P.S. This "graphical editor" sucks!..
