Suspicious.MH690.A virus on Mac: repair failed

Hi,
I am new here and I hate to start off with a problem but …
Norton Internet Security 5 for Mac (Version 12.6, with Auto Scan: Auto Repair ON) detected the Suspicious.MH690.A virus in two files, and the History log Inspector shows Action to be "Repair failed," for each file, without any further instructions or advice.  Also, a Norton Notification says, "Unable to fix file," in both cases.  The files (hddtpro1.exe and HDD Temperature 1.4.206.msi), are in a personal storage area I use for old programs.

Can anyone tell me how to remove this problem from my Mac (iMac 13, 2, 27-inch, Late 2012, with OS X 10.8.5)?   Is it as simple as deleting the files?  Previous reports about this virus have been on PC computers, but I am not sure how the solutions relate to this virus on a Mac.

Tim
