I know this forum is more for home version of nortorn, but hopefully someone here can help me. At work we use Symantec antivirus corporate edtion version 10 with machines running windows xp pro sp2. I have already posted this in another messege, sorry for double posting. When I log into a standard user account and run liveupdate manually it tells me: Restricted users can run liveupdate in silent mode only. Updates will be automatically downloaded and installed if available. Do you want to continue? So I click ok and it doesn't show any windows open up or anything. (slilent mode= run in the background) So I checked the log files and it appears liveupdate ran sucessfully. So is this the solution to getting liveupdate to run under a non admin account, in symantec antivirus corporate edition? How do set live update to run in silent mode in non admin account?
