Symantec Framework Error Again

I have a error which I could not resolve using the methodology suggested in your fix posted on this board. So on 21/08, I sent an email using the ‘Send Email’ button at the bottom of the post. As yet, I have not received an email reply and nothing seems to be updated about it here on this board. As the Symantec employees on this board reply very quickly, I was wondering if you could look into it for me a engineer me a reply soon. Thanks very much. For the record, the contents of my email is included below.

I just downloaded version 1.1.0.21 of NSM (which I understand is the fixed version) and yet I am still getting a similar problem, as follows:

1. After installing NSM and completing an account online, I opened the NIS 2009 splash screen and clicked on Settings, then on Parental and Privacy Controls only to be greeted by the message that it wasn’t loaded at all together with a click-thru to the NSM online registration page. However, I can still login to and use my online NSM account.

2. Suddenly, I get an ‘ccSvcHst.exe - Application Error’ which said: The instruction at 0x78144500 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be “read”. Then another. And another. And another…

3. After each Application Error report, a second error pops up: Symantec Service Framework has encountered a problem and needs to close, etc. The pop-up window looks different to the one pictured in your post, offering the options to either ‘Debug’ or ‘Close’. Clicking either does not solve the problem. Clicking through to the Error Report Contents, it lists the two files mentioned in your post with a different error number for each of the several occurences of the error. Example:

C:\Documents and Settings\Brian Raynor\Local Settings\Temp\WER0310.dir00\ccSvcHst.mdmp and appcompat.txt

4. After these errors, NIS won’t work at all. Furthermore, I cannot locate the error folder WER0310.dir00 in the hidden directory named Temp. Doing a search on C:\ for the ccSvcHst.mdmp and appcompat.txt files does not find any files of these names.

I’m completely flummoxed - please help! Thanks.
