Symantec Mail Security for Exchange -- SCL Scoring

Underneath "Premium AntiSpam Actions" in SMSE, there is an option that states "Assign SCL value to message."  I checked the documentation regarding this setting and it states the following:

 

Assigns the SCL value that you specify to the message.

You can choose a value from 1 to 9. The default value is 8.

This option is available only for Exchange 2003. The value that you specify replaces the existing SCL values of incoming messages.

 

 

Given how often documentation is not updated, I just wanted to confirm what I was reading.  Is this setting truly only valid for Exchange 2003 and no other versions of Exchange?
