I have been having some unusual behaviour from my Cisco/Linksys E4200 Router. I investigated the log on the router and noted that I am seeing a lot of traffic to Port 13785. Investigation of the IP protocol port numbers says that the port is registered as "Symantec NetBackup Database nbdb Traffic". Since I haven't registered to use the NetBackup capabilities I am quite concerned about exactly what data is being sent out on my Internet Connection and who is getting it. I have 10 different IP addresses sending messages in over that port. It doesn't make sense if I don't use the net backup capability. I have saved the log file but it doesn't have ANY timestamps or other information that would indicate where it is going. I plan on doing a Ping with traceroute to identify who/where the IP addresses are. I can provide the list to someone from Symantec on request.
