Melanie - it seems like a lot of people are experiencing the same problem as you without a lot of success with a solution. I started a similar forum enquiry earlier today: http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=Norton_360&thread.id=636 . In additio, there have been many other threads on this and other Norton forums (if you've not already done it, use the search function and have a look).
Hopefully, we'll get something that will resolve the issue for both of us.
Tom
Hi Tom, thanks for that. I have searched Google and this site came up with basically the same problems as me. It is so frustrating. You'd think that Symantec would have this issue resolved by now. I'm running Vista Home Premium with SP1, do you think that this makes a difference? It shouldn't, as SP1 came when I still had V1 of 360.
My problems first started when I was running 360 v1 before Vista SP1 - so I don’t think SP1 is the major culprit here.
Well, it doesn’t look like anyone has any answers. I was sent a further email and told to uninstall and reinstall, which I did. I noticed that whilst doing a comprehensive scan, when it got to the area around My Documents/Pictures/Music/Downloads (around 280,000 files into the scan) the Symantec Network Framework Has Stopped Working message would appear. It would not complete the scan. I then had to reboot my computer to be able to access Windows Mail. I decided to exclude My Documents/Pictures/Music/Downloads in the scan and then do another full comprehensive scan. This time I did not have a problem, the scan completed. I haven’t had the message back yet. Also, the My Network now has a green tick, not the red cross. I know that this does not solve the problem, but it seems to be a stop gap fix. I was hoping that someone from Symantec would be able to answer my problem, as it seems that my concerns aren’t isolated.
This looks similar to the issue posted here:

I would recommend trying all the suggestions in this post. Thanks!
Thanks Tony for replying to my post, however, I have read that thread and it does not specifically say what I have to do...
I apologize for the delay. Please keep an eye on the thread posted earlier for updates on the issue. Thanks!
