I have had a problem ever since I installed Norton on a new laptop; no problems during the 90 day trial. I have contacted Norton numerous times, with NO results.
Here is the situation. I cannot access a webpage, and I click on 'diagnose connection issues'. I receive the following error:
"The following policy might need to be adjusted to allow Windows to connect:
Policy Provider: Symantec IPS Provider
Filter Name: Symantec Outbound Connect V4 Callout"
This used to occur only after the laptop had been idle and powered off for several days. However, now, it is happening in the middle of being on-line. The only way I can resolve the problem is to reboot the pc. Not a big deal, but, frustrating.
Anyone have this same issue, or have a resolution?
