Symantec Service Framework

So sometime last night when I was sleeping, my computer either imploded or commited ritual suicide, because when I woke up it was giving me the "physical memory dump" blue screen of almost-certain-death.

I restored my system and everything seemed more or less okay - except for this error loop that keeps coming up.

First it tells me that there is a Microsoft Visual C++ issue called "r6025 - pure virtual function call", and so I click OK.

Then a "Symantec Service Framework has encountered a problem and needs to close" thing pops up and it's the whole Send Error Report/Don't Send. I get rid of that, and then the Microsoft Visual whatever pops up again... get rid of that and it's back to the Symantec Service Framework message.

On top of that my Norton Antivirus seems pretty much unresponsive (I'm guessing this is the whole service framework issue). None of the Norton extensions work (run antivirus, run live update, support, etc).

And I really cannot get rid of these pop up messages.

Anyone know what this is? =\

I run XP Professional on a lenovo IBM T400. I have a two-year Norton Antivirus package that I recently updated to the new 2009 version like two weeks or so ago.
