It's been along time without any solution. The SymDaemon keeps the CPU busy almost the whole time. As soon as I switch on the Mac the fan isr running and the Internet connection gets down. The process occupy the CPU up to 108%. Only switching of the scan of external archives pulls it down. But not ecery time. I am on 7.4 but this issue presits for a long time. I think the whole Norton application for Mac needs a complete rewrite. Please solve or let us know hiw long this lasts? Many thanks.
