I use a Synology NAS for backing up my Windows 11 PC.
Norton 360 seems to block accessing the VSS directories with the error message:
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error querying for the IVssWriterCallback interface. hr = 0x80070005, Access is denied.
. This is often caused by incorrect security settings in either the writer or requestor process.

If I (temporarily) disable Norton AutoProtect, the backup completes with no error.
How do I configure AutoProtect to not block VSS access from Synology Active Business?
Synology Support says to add \Device\HarddiskVolume* to the Exclusion list but this results in a "Invalid Path specified".
What is the correct entry?
