sysdate.exe in recycler folder

A few days ago a properties dialog box began popping up on my desktop when restarting my vista computer. It was for a application entitled "sysdate.exe"

I have found very little information on the net about this and am concerned that it is virus related. I called Symantec and talked with a number of people from various departments who said it was probably harmless, but weren't really sure because they had never heard of it.

It is set as a startup progrum under the startup tap in msconfig. I was able to get rid of the pop-up by disabling it (some of the few websites I found suggested doing this and it hasn't seemed to harm my laptop thus far).

I find it strange that it is running from the recycler folder. The full command line, as listed under the startup tab, is:

C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-5954446454-4877260548-232667858-0062\sysdate.exe

The pop-up only seemed to appear after I updated my norton anti-virus, ran a scan, and removed the W.32SillyP2P virus. So, I'm wondering if it's some sort of leftover from that? A computer in my living room also has the same problem, and the same virus was recently remvoed from that PC as well.

I have since then run more anti-virus scans which have turned up nothing.

Any knowledge or help would be greatly appreciated.
