It will be more then great to have a "turbo" mode in System Insight that will stop some services and applications and apply a few settings (like changing the theme to non-aero) and turn on the silent mode to boost the system and prepare it for heavy tasks.
This mode "turbo" / "surge" would be fine for PC-Tuneup in Norton 360 v6
