System Status at Risk

I have Norton Antivirus installed on my computer (I have Window 7) and the Norton window says: System Status at Risk. I've already run the quick scan and full system scan, both saying that there are no threats found. Then, i tried to fix the problem with the button that says "Fix Now" next to the message "Your computer protection is At Risk.", but the Fix Now button doesn't work.
What can i do?

Hi,

Can you check your system date and time are correct.  If not,  please adjust and run Live Update again.

You can also click Support > Get Support and let Auto-fix run.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi gabrielazegarra,

Neither LiveUpdate, nor Auto-FIx will work without internet access.  SImply connecting to the internet to get updates is not dangerous, as long as you have a firewall (a router, Norton Firewall, or Windows Firewall) and do not surf.  It sounds like your virus definitions may simply be out of date.

My system date and time are ok.
How can i check if I have a Windows Firewall?

Thank you both.

It seems like I do have a windows firewall, i'll try running the liveupdate, thanks again.

I run LiveUpdate, and the system status went from At Risk to Attention. I suppose it is because i have only 22 days remaining of antivirus. Is it safe to use the Internet now?

Of course you could go ahead and use the Internet. As the Norton would protect the computer till your subscription expires.

What is the Attention warning referring to?  It should tell you what the problem is.

The attention message is in orange colour, as well as the 22 days remaining message, and where the Fix Now button used to be, now there's a Renew button.

If the notice is simply a renewal reminder, and you do not wish to renew at this time, you should be able to click through it (a "Later" buttton or something similar).  You should not see another reminder for a week or so.  Make sure it is not advising you of something else, though, other than an upcoming expiration date.

It really looks like it is only referring to the expiration date, though there's no Later button or similar. Thank you for the help!!
