Is there any way to lower the time that the alert pop ups stay in your system tray such as download insight or when NIS finds something malicious. The alerts just stay up there for way too long. A good 5 seconds is all I really need to see. Thanks.

That is not, unfortunately, configurable. The only thing to do is acknowledge the pop up to make it go away. You could put in a suggestion in the "ideas" forum for a change to be considered for the next release.
