And they send me a card on their wonderful service in the mail everyday.

Reminds me of Brain Damage track on Bright side of the moon -- "And every day the paperboy brings more ....."

More and more company's are requiring we have to fork over our data and at the same time are cutting corners on safe guarding it.  How sad...frown

Just now reading this about AT&T!! Denial that is ...even in the face of data being sold on the dark net already.

Yes indeed!! That occurred in 2015 at which time, I had been retired from the Navy for 13 years. The notice I received was everything OPM had on file for me had been taken with the exception of my fingerprints. I freaked out over that one for a very long time. I'm still keeping my credit bureau profiles locked down and will do so permanently unless I have the need to make a purchase that requires a simple 24 hour unlocking, then automatically locks back down at the end of that period.

FWIW!!! I have one customer already who had their T-Mobile account taken over. A simple phone call from a person with a heavy foreign accent was all it took. SIM swap occurred, bank accounts drained overnight. On-line shopping account had thousands of dollars in open orders. Just a terrible mess that I am guiding them through to get it all straightened out.

Edited: T-Mobile breach has now increased to 54 million customers

SA

After the OPM breach and how they handled it I lost all hope  sad

Watching this like a hawk. I have a backup phone with Boost Mobile, owned by T-Mobile. Nothing via e-mail, texts or snail mail thus far with anything related. FWIW! This is the 5th data breech for T-Mobile over the past 3 or 4 years. Not good from a legal standpoint with them, they're offering free identity theft? LOL, thats worse than a monkey in a briar patch. Theft already occurred and they're on the hook for it. IMA!! Its all too amazing that Chinese and Russian firms don't see this kind or level of corporate lameness. Sigh!! It may cause a person to begin believing in conspiracies. Meanwhile....back in the datacenters!!
