Tamper Detection: Computer has not reported any activity in two weeks. This may be because it has been off or unused. It is also possible that the Norton Safety Minder has been intentionally turned off. This (above) appeared this morning. There is plenty of activity, the latest being last night and days before that. Any ideas why the system is doing this?
Hi bav347,
Trying to get a little bit more details on the settings...How many Windows account are connected to the kid profiles on website Onlinefamily.Norton? What Windows account is being used to login to the PC when you see the message? Is this account being monitored?
Thanks,
Katie
Hello again Katie,
Hopefully I can answer your questions:
Using XP. My two kids are setup with their own Windows accounts. I have one as well.
The only two accounts which are monitored are the two kids. My Windows account is the only admin acct and is not monitored.
When they boot up the computer, all three accts show and they must login with their password.
Is this what you are looking for?
Thank you.
Whoops. The message appears with the kids account. I have seen this message on both of their accounts.
bav347,
Thanks for the information. They are what we are looking for. So you’re sure BOTH of your kids have activities on the PC in the last two weeks...right? When the message appeared this morning, your account was being used to login the PC or one of your kids’ account?
Thanks,
katie
Katie,
Maybe these pics will help tell the story. As you can see. There is recent activity on both accounts. Helpful?
bav347,
Do you still see the NSM icon appear (a dog paw image) in the system tray?
I just sent you a PM. You could access this message by clicking on the icon in the upper right hand corner of the page.
The images you posted in the forum are not showing the activity screen. If you like, you can send them to me by email. you should find it in the PM.
Thanks,
Katie
