Message saying Tamper Detection - Safety minder is not running. When I look at this user on the settings it says she is protected, but there is no icon in the notification area when she is logged on. How do I fix this problem? She can't have disabled it herself as she doesn't know password.
Thanks, I have had a bit of a play, and have managed to get the icon to re-appear back in the notifications area, and it now says that it is enabled etc. I'm wondering why it disappeared tho..
We are running Vista and have four users on this particular PC. Maybe it is nothing, but just think it is odd that I got this message when everything else seems OK.
The only reasons I know that it could disappear:
- a conflict with another piece of software
- someone on the machine stopped the service
In the second case if you "kill" the service and not "stop" it, it should restart.
Anyway, glad to see all is working now.
