I have spent the last 2 hours trying to replace the Trial version of NIS pre-installed on this netbook, with a second download from my existing PC of a full version of the same product, but which has many days still to run. I think it is in place but, when I check my Norton centre details, I am told that I only have 5 days left. Now, it might be that in 5 days time the Trial version will be automatically replaced by the Full version - which is showing as being in place - but I cannot be sure.
The last half-hour has been spent trying to get a UK telephone number that I might ring to ACTUALLY TALK TO SOMEONE for reassurance/assistance on this matter. Every time I get to the page which lists the telephone numbers - I actually see them - the page disappears after 2 seconds, and brings me back to this Forum! Now, I don't know you guys out there in the ether, but can anyone give me the UK call-centre number and then - maybe - I'll get to use that part of me (that is currently screaming with rage!) to actually talk to someone. C'mon guys: help a newbie out?! You were all that way once.
