I have a need to be able to TOTALLY shut down all Norton Security Suite (provided by my ISP Comcast) activity but only temporarily. One of my PCs is used for Studio Recording but it needs to have internet access on occasions also. When I use Sonar X1 recording studio I totally shut down network access and shut off all other non-essential processes that can rob any CPU time. Just disabling the security suite is not enough. I still pops up and tells me that my CPU is running at 100% and identifies the Sonar app. I can't have Norton scanning my PC and monitoring it's status while Sonar is running but I want it protecting my PC when I turn the network back on and want to get to the internet. Help with this would be much appreciated!
