Is there a way to temporarly deactivate Norton 360 so that I can install Roxio 2009? I do not want to uninstall Norton, but Roxio will not install with it active. I have looked, unchecked everything I can and still cannot get it out of memory so that Roxio can install.

billbee,
Instead of turning off the Norton 360, you can try the Clean Boot mode for installing the Roxio 2009. A "Clean Boot" starts in normal mode, but without all of the background applications and [non-Microsoft] services that you usually have running. This is always used as an alternative way to install similar software programs without the hinderence from the security programs. Read this Symantec Support Article for more information on performing Clean Boot mode. The link is for Windows XP, let me know if you are using Windows Vista. I can provide you the necessary steps.
