Just installed a trial of NAV 2010 and I'm comparing it to Avira Antivir Premium 9 & 10.
Avira is pretty agressive on browser/http protection and will not allow you to download the Eicar zip file for example, while NAV will let you download and save it, but not extract it. There are probably reasons for this.
For anyone familiar with Avira, Eset or Avast, does NAV's Browser Protection do the same basic task as Avira's webguard. Eset's Web Access Protection or Avira's Web Shield? Is it a full HTTP/HTTPs scanner?
In the meantime, is there any way for me to actually test that NAV's Browser Protection is working? I would appreciate confirming that it actually does something.
