Testing SSR 2013

I have Windows 7 64bt, DID HAVE GHOST !5, Which was fine, now removed.

I have now installed SSR2013

What is the best way to test SSR2013, so I don't lose any DATA if it all went wrong??

Do I back up my Drive to another Hard Drive or what????

Also I am on the free trial, so how do I make a Recovery Disk ??

Thanks

Hi sayer,

So long as you backed up your computer with Ghost 15 onto an external drive, SSR 2013 will be able to recover using G15s .v2i files.

To create a recovery disk you will need the installation disk burnt from the downloaded ISO.

The problem is that you will need the key code to use the custom SRD with the trial un-activated.

So long as you're not running Win8 you can slip the G15 SRD and recover with that.

OK,

Still have Problems,

I know I could use G15 SRD and recover with that, but I need the other disk ISO to test it!

Where can I download SSR2013 Desk top, Recovery ISO File For Windows 7 64bt??

Do I just burn it,?? how do you do a ISO burn?? HELP

I am still worried about doing a restore with SSR 2013, I do have Ghost 15 Backup files before I removed Ghost 15!!

also I have found very little info on this product, even the price is not clear, but it looks good, so where is it??

Thanks

sayer,

Hang on a bit,

when DaveH comes online later on I am sure he will post the link for you I just can't put my finger on it at the moment.

I use Nero or Roxio to burn the ISOs but you can do it with Windows built in software.

When the ISO is downloaded just click it and Windows will burn it.

don't worry about restoring with SSR 2013 it will work with all .v2i files created when you backed up with G15.

Not really, it just sparkles.

Seriously though I remember seeing a post by DaveH that linked direct to the 64 bit ISO download.

Deric,

That's just the sun bouncing off my glasses and thin spots :smileylol:

I think I am going nuts!!

I have downloaded this file which is a zip file, have opened it and  I cannot see a ISO file for Windows 7 64bt

Any help please.

How do I get the big discount on this trial SSR 2013, so I can get the full version???And is it download only??

Thank you:smileyfrustrated:

sayer.

What was the name and file size of the file you downloaded? What does the zip file contain?

Does that help??

That's great. There are two downloads. You have the install one. You also need....

Sym_System_Recovery_2013_11.0.0.46600_English_Recovery_Disk

where can I download that from?

Sym_System_Recovery_2013_11.0.0.46600_English_Recovery_Disk

The same link Dave posted. It is the 702 MB file.

This download is not there,

What now??

Try Dick's link,

work through the prompts, sign in etc. and you will see a list of 7 entries,

you will need number 1 = 522 mb and number 2 = 702mb

Edit one is the installation Iso and the other (number 2) is the SRD Iso.
